Source facts

The preprint introduces WorldSolver, a benchmark of 168 simulation tasks derived from physical phenomena in 61 classic computer-graphics papers across seven physical domains. Each task provides a code scaffold while the agent completes the solver. Evaluation covers execution, visual fidelity, and physical plausibility. The authors report that generating executable solvers is difficult and that physical correctness is harder; the reported overall scores for GPT-5.6-Sol and Claude-Opus-5 are 48.7% and 46.7%, respectively.

Analysis

WorldSolver separates code completion from whether generated dynamics are physically credible. That distinction is useful for agent evaluation in simulation and embodied settings, where executable code can still encode incorrect world models.
