Source facts

The preprint formulates hazard-analysis automation as state-dependent scientific route selection. HazardWeaver combines an evidence-linked Hazard Knowledge Compiler with a Hazard Capability Graph that checks input/output compatibility among executable methods and tools. Its benchmark contains 141 instances across seven single-hazard domains and four multi-hazard interaction classes, evaluating output correctness, route validity, and justified abstention.

Analysis

The work makes route validity and justified abstention explicit evaluation targets. That is a useful design pattern for scientific agents operating where multiple methods may be valid and new evidence can invalidate an earlier route.

Uncertainty/Doubt

  • This is an arXiv preprint. The benchmark coverage, route-selection gains, and public-code behavior were not independently reproduced here.
