Source facts

X-AgentRed constructs a directed graph of tool dependencies, effects, harms, and execution preconditions to discover harmful cross-service action paths. Execution feedback expands and refines the paths through tool substitution and precondition updates. Across four frontier agentic models, the authors report 1.77x the harmful-path rate of STAC and 2.99x average tool coverage.

Analysis

The framework targets compositional failures that may not appear when tools are tested independently. Its graph-and-feedback approach is relevant to red-team coverage for personal agents whose actions accumulate across services.

Uncertainty/Doubt

  • This is an arXiv preprint. The harmful-path definitions, frontier-model evaluations, and reported coverage gains were not independently reproduced here.
