nanoMuse: An Open-Source Personal Agent for Every Device You Own
Source
arXiv
arxiv.org/abs/2610.08699v1
Source facts
The preprint presents nanoMuse as an open-source counterpart to persistent personal agents that operate across a user's accounts and devices. It describes a shared conversation over a user-runnable relay, a Sentinel through which actions pass, file-based readable memory with provenance, and a model-choice architecture. The paper gives estimates for size and cost and frames open memory, evaluation of device interaction, and an open model as roadmap items.
Analysis
The proposal makes persistence, cross-device agency, action mediation, and readable memory first-class system properties. It is a systems and deployment proposal rather than evidence that the full personal-agent stack is already production-ready.
Uncertainty/Doubt
- This is an arXiv preprint and its deployment claims are partly a roadmap. The implementation, security boundary, estimates, and comparison to public vendor records were not independently audited here.
