Jev-Mobile: Jev as an Executor for Mobile GUI Agents
Source

Source facts
Jev-Mobile separates low-frequency vision-language-model planning from high-frequency lightweight execution. The VLM supplies local goals, the accessibility tree defines a structured action space, and Jev repeatedly selects typed actions within that space. On AndroidWorld, the preprint reports 79% task success, 32.7% lower mean end-to-end execution time, and 73.4% lower mean model API cost relative to its step-wise VLM baseline.
Analysis
The design treats GUI control as a compiler-like execution layer rather than asking a large VLM to re-plan every interaction. If the action space and accessibility metadata are reliable, this is a practical route to reducing agent latency and inference cost while preserving adaptive behavior.
Uncertainty/Doubt
- This is an arXiv preprint. The AndroidWorld comparisons, cost accounting, and robustness outside the tested accessibility-tree setting were not independently reproduced here.
